Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College has come into existence in the year 2005 fulfilling the holy wish of the great saint. This academic multidisciplinary hospital of the college is a non commercial venture and is equipped in a ways which are yet to be available in other hospital in Bangladesh.
Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain (1925–2012) was a Bangladeshi physician, pioneering industrialist, and philanthropist from Enayetpur, Sirajganj. After graduating from Kolkata Medical College in 1948 and serving briefly in the Army Medical Corps, he transitioned into business and established several major enterprises, including Drug International Limited, Al-Haj Textile Mills, and ATI Ceramics. Beyond his industrial achievements—which earned him recognition as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) and former Chairman of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association—he dedicated much of his life to philanthropy. He founded key institutions in his hometown, notably the Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital, Khwaja Yunus Ali University, and local schools aimed at promoting healthcare and education.
