With over 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, I have built a career defined by surgical excellence, academic leadership, and a deep commitment to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes in Bangladesh. As a fellowship-trained minimally invasive surgeon (F.MAS, D.MAS), I have consistently applied advanced laparoscopic techniques across complex gynecological cases, combining technical precision with evidence-based clinical judgment.
My leadership experience spans both academic and operational settings. As Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital, I oversee undergraduate medical education, clinical governance, and departmental strategy. Prior to this, I served as Head of Department at two further medical colleges and as Obstetric Lead for 15 Marie Stopes maternity centers across Bangladesh — a role in which I directed national policy implementation, designed clinical protocols, and led capacity-building programs that reached over 100 physicians and paramedics.
As an educator, I have mentored generations of medical students and residents through lectures, ward- based teaching, and examination roles at multiple university-affiliated institutions. My research contributions — including 11 peer-reviewed publications and presentations at international conferences in Malaysia, Japan, and India — reflect a sustained commitment to advancing the field. I am now seeking. a professorial position where I can bring this breadth of surgical expertise, institutional leadership, and academic engagement to bear in a new environment.
