Short Biography

Quazi Manjurul Haque is a Professor of Microbiology, at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College where he has been a faculty member since 2022. He worked as a professor at College of Medicine, Taibah University, Madinah Munawara, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during 2008 to 2021.  He also worked as an Associate and Assistant professor at the College of Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia from 1997 to 2007.   He held the postdoctoral fellowship in University of Malaya, Malaysia and Mie University, Japan. 

Quazi was awarded Japanese Monbusho Scholarship in 1991 and completed his Ph.D. at College of Medicine, Mie University, Japan (1996) and his undergraduate studies at Mymensingh Medical College (1989), Bangladesh. His research interests lie in the area of bacterial virulence factors, ranging from theory to design of the research projects. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Microbiology.

Quazi has served on roughly thirty conference and workshop programs in different countries.  

He is teaching the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students for more than 30 years at home and abroad.  

Quazi has published several book chapters and more than 50 papers in scientific journals.
