Department of Transfusion Medicine

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Transfusion Medicine at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital (KYAMCH), Enayetpur, Sirajganj.

Transfusion Medicine is a vital clinical specialty that plays a pivotal role in modern healthcare by ensuring the availability of safe, effective, and quality-assured blood and blood components. Our department is committed to excellence in patient care, academic teaching, research, and community service, in alignment with national and international standards.

We strongly emphasize safe blood transfusion practices, voluntary non-remunerated blood donation, rational use of blood and blood components, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The department provides timely, evidence-based transfusion support to all clinical specialties of the hospital.

Academic excellence remains one of our core priorities. We are actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, Continuous Medical Education (CME), journal reviews, seminars, and research activities to ensure ethical practice, critical thinking, and professional growth.

Beyond institutional responsibilities, the department plays an active role in public awareness programs, voluntary blood donor motivation, and collaboration with governmental and non-governmental organizations to strengthen the national blood transfusion system of Bangladesh.

I firmly believe that through teamwork, integrity, innovation, and compassion, our department will continue to make meaningful contributions to patient safety, academic advancement, and national healthcare goals.

I warmly invite students, clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders to engage with us in our continuous journey towards excellence.
