Dr. Satabdi Ghosh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College (KYAMC), Bangladesh. She earned her ‘Doctor of Medicine’ degree in Pharmacology from the Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), under the BMU in 2020. Her research interests include depression, dietary supplements, diabetes, newer drugs, non-communicable diseases, pharmacoeconomics and ADR reporting. Her master’s thesis led to a publication titled “Effect of zinc supplementation on depression in selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors-treated major depressive disorder patients’’, KYAMC Journal, 2022.
She acts as the Coordinator of the Magazine Committee at KYAMC. Alongside her medical career, she is an accomplished writer and poet. Her works include the social novel Ruprekhar Chupkotha (2022) and the bestselling social crime thriller Mukhosher Arale (2023), followed by its sequel Mukhosher Antarale Ghatok (2024), and the romantic novel Ek Poshla Brishtite Tumi (2025). Her upcoming novel Mahuya Kathan is scheduled for release in 2026. Mukhosher Antarale Ghatok was selected for the Granth Padak by the Bangladesh Women Writers’ Society. She also actively participates in poetry recitation and creative writing on digital platforms
Dr Satabdi Ghosh is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College. She has extensive professional experience in academic teaching and student development. Her responsibilities include conducting regular large-group lectures and small-group teaching sessions, providing practical and skill-based training, and assessing students through both formative and summative examinations, including preparation of examination questions. She actively provides constructive feedback and academic counseling to support learners’ progress. In addition, she is involved in research activities and scholarly publications, prepare official reports and correspondence, and contribute to extracurricular initiatives, including serving as Coordinator of the KYAMC Magazine Committee. As Magazine Committee Coordinator, she ensures timely publication, maintains editorial standards, and promotes students’ creative and extracurricular activities through the magazine.
