Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College has come into existence in the year 2005 fulfilling the holy wish of the great saint. This academic multidisciplinary hospital of the college is a non commercial venture and is equipped in a ways which are yet to be available in other hospital in Bangladesh.

Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akter is an experienced Histopathologist and Cytopathologist with special involvement in cancer diagnosis and research. She completed her MD in Pathology in 2011 and has over 14 years of professional experience in histopathology and cytopathology, along with 20 years of teaching experience in medical education.
She has previously served as Head of the Department of Pathology at North Bengal Medical College, Sirajganj for 12 years. Her academic career also includes roles as Assistant Professor of Pathology at Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS), Dhaka, and Guest Faculty at Army Medical College, Bogra.
Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akter is actively engaged in academic research and has national and international scientific publications to her credit. Her dedication to diagnostic excellence, medical education, and research continues to contribute significantly to the advancement of pathology services and training.
